A special year is about to begin for expert International: The group will be celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2017 and with it an international success story.
Today, expert International is active in 19 European countries and in South Africa. The companies operate under the name expert in 18 out of 20 member countries.
“This high level of brand identification is unique among the groups in our industry,” says expert International’s Managing Director Dieter Mathys proudly. The growth figures speak for themselves as well: Over the last few years the Group has grown by 68% through organic growth, mergers in existing countries and the integration of new countries.
This is reason enough to celebrate the anniversary year 2017 in style. Numerous attractive promotions are planned in all countries. A common anniversary logo was developed and forms the key visual style. The highlight of the anniversary will be a gala event in Athens on 1 June 2017.
How it all began
Expert International was founded on 16 October 1967 by purchasing associations from Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Switzerland and the Netherlands. The idea behind the merger is just as relevant today as it was then: “With a common brand, we are simply stronger and better prepared for the challenges of the future,” explains Dieter Mathys. The fundamental values, which form the basis for the success of the expert International Group, have not changed either: “The focus is on the entrepreneurial spirit of independent traders and the associated boldness, diligence and customer proximity,” emphasizes Dieter Mathys. This is how we have been able to successfully master challenges such as the transition from classic, stationary to multichannel business. In future, the focus will clearly remain on strengths typical of expert: competent, individual advice and first-class service. Dieter Mathys is confident: “This means that we are ideally prepared – at least for the next 50 years!”
