Every year Netherlands Expert Group organizes the mini IFA fair in Nijkerk where the Expert shop entrepreneurs are able to see new product introductions of their suppliers.
Of course, this year everything is different because of Covid-19. Out of respect for the Covid-19 measures and everyone’s health, they canceled the mini IFA. However, they still wanted to do something for their entrepreneurs to make sure that they are aware of all new products introduced by their suppliers. That is how the idea for Expert on Tour came up.

The goal of Expert on Tour is to show new products to shop entrepreneurs via professional videos made together with their suppliers. To do this, the Netherlands Expert Group bought an orange (of course) Volkswagen T2 Transporter to visit their suppliers, distributors, and a few Expert shops. In every video, the suppliers told something about their product introductions and what discount offers they have during the ‘Korting Festival’ (discount weeks). Also, each supplier closed the video with a competition, to which shop staff could answer and win very nice prizes, like a Smart TV. They ended up making 21 professional videos within just two weeks (week 35, 36, and 37). The videos have been broadcasted at the Expert Facebook group page and OnsExpert (intranet). So far, the reactions and feedback from both Expert shop staff as suppliers are very positive!
