Pulse oximeters will be available to socially disadvantaged families thanks to NAY

The President of the Slovak Republic Zuzana Čaputová initiated fundraising for the most critical regions.

NAY a. s., our partner from Slovakia, is aware of its social responsibility and therefore participated in fundraising initiated by the President of the Slovak Republic, to help people and families from socially disadvantaged backgrounds who fell ill with Covid-19.

Although not much talked about, the disease is relatively expensive, because supportive and symptomatic treatment costs dozens of euros.
The availability of pulse oximeters is important in-home treatment of patients infected by coronavirus. With them, patients can check the amount of oxygen in the blood by themselves and according to the results, they know whether to call an ambulance.

Pulse oximeters will be distributed to doctors’ surgeries by the Association of Self-Governing Regions SK8.
Pulse oximeters will be available in regions where the epidemiological situation is currently unfavorable with a high number of patients – Trenčín, Žilina, Banská Bystrica, Prešov and Košice regions. Outpatient doctors will lend them to patients so that their condition can be monitored during home treatment,“ Ing. Peter Zálešák, Chairman of the Board at NAY a. s. said.
